Meet the Founder

As the founder and principal of Okeke Strategies, Antonio Okeke is seasoned professional with a robust educational foundation and a diverse professional background, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for driving transformative, intentional change and impact. He holds both a Master of Science in Public Administration, Management, and Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy, Philanthropy, and Social Innovation, from the University of Southern California. His academic journey at USC was marked by numerous honors and awards, including two Dean's Merit Honors and participation in several University-distinguished programs.

Professionally, Okeke's experience spans various roles and sectors:

Leadership and Governance:

• Leadership and Governance: During his term as the Chair of the Board that governs the USC Norman Topping Student Aid Fund, Antonio led a board of 19 members –– student leaders, faculty members, as well as senior administrators. Under his leadership in partnership with the Director of the Fund, Okeke co-managed a that budget exceeded more than $2 million dollars. The board made progress on university initiatives to advance educational equity for first-generation, low-income students. 

• Legal Aid and Community Support: At the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, Antonio provided essential legal aid to more than 350 socio-economically disadvantaged Angelenos, demonstrating his commitment to social justice.

• Urban Planning and Economic Development: Serving as a Lead Project Consultant on the City of Detroit's Joe Louis Greenway Project, Antonio co-authored a comprehensive brief with high-level, recommendations to foster and spur more community development, economic growth, and housing redevelopment.

• Philanthropy and Social Innovation: As a Philanthropy Research Associate at USC, he supported research efforts on the impact of philanthropic organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, showcasing his analytical and research skills. In addition, as a Strategic Initiatives Liaison for the Hollywood Food Coalition, he played a pivotal role in transforming the organization's financial health and operational efficiency, contributing to its mission of serving the needs of the hungry and vulnerable in Los Angeles.

• Strategic Campaign Guidance: Antonio's role as Senior Policy Advisor and Strategist for Aarika Rhodes for Congress involved policy development, campaign messaging, and cross-cultural engagement initiatives.

Furthermore, Antonio's multilingual tongue in English, Spanish, and Krio; and his proficiency in community collaborations, stakeholder coordination, community collaborations, and financial forecasting makes him a versatile and effective leader and consultant. He also possesses certifications in emergency management, modern law practice, and project management.
